Types of brake pads

Air drying boxes are the integral part of pneumatic brake systems. During operation because of sudden pressure difference the moisture, containing in air, start to condense at inner walls of system. In that case the corrosion of metal parts is inescapable and during winter there is possible complete failure of braking system because of gathered water freezing at moving parts.

Application of air dryer practically eliminates water appearing in brake system. During intake air passing thought granules (which posses strong hygroscopic properties), containing inside air drying box, there take place a chemical air banding (absorption) that does not allow moisture get inside brake system. In air dryer there also is applied special filtering partition made of nonwoven material, which traps solid contaminations containing in air. In structure of filtering partition there also is special polymeric fabric that serves for moisture stopping inside air drying box.
