Filtering elements of oil filters

There are also split oil filters with replaceable filtering elements. Filtering elements of old generation engines have bottom and rod made of perforated metal plate. Filtering partition is made of cellulose based paper. Also there are applied rubber gaskets.

Quite often, the filtering elements are covered outside with perforated paper or even metal net. Such paper or metal housings increase rigidity of construction, protect element from mechanical damages and prevent pleats sticking, but at same way impede oils passing. However because of combinations of several materials these filters require complex and labor-intensive utilization, as it is necessary to separate metal fire-proof parts.

In present day filtering elements there are applied constructions, which do not have metal parts, and as result have easy utilization corresponding to ecostandards in force. Such filtering elements are called ECO. Application of up-to-date materials and construction optimization, considering analysis of each element load, allowed to exclude metal parts and replace them with plastic ones, made of hi-tech materials. Filtering elements of new generation consist only of impregnated cellulose based paper with addition of synthetic fibers.
