Filtration material
Generally, the filtration material used for air filters manufacturing is the filtering paper based on cellulose fibers impregnated with phenol, epoxy or acrylic resins. This impregnation of cellulose fibers protects it from water, oil and fuel fumes.
For modern materials there are often used additions of synthetic fibers, which increase filtrating efficiency and contaminants absorption.
Nowadays there are present fully synthetic filtering materials - nonwoven fabrics, which due to their speĀcific structure are able to trap several times more contaminants than traditional filtering paper.
Air filters with nonwoven fabrics have high filtration efficiency with air flow resistance several times less, than filtering paper.
